Visit an eco-sanctuary for wild horses. Since 2016, the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary invites visitors to learn about wild mustangs, Native American culture, and experience life on a working ranch on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

The Oldham Family provides professional care in a free-roaming environment on their working cattle ranch for over 130 un-adoptable wild mustangs. This is the third BLM (Bureau of Land Management) wild horse eco-sanctuary in Wyoming open to the public and the only one on an Indian reservation. Free access to the educational interpretative visitor center includes curated panels and displays, and a small gift shop. For the best experience, schedule a privately guided tour during operating hours and outside sanctuary hours by appointment.
